Application Procedure – Kaboon Gypsum Plaster
Follow the steps below for proper application of Kaboon gypsum plaster on interior walls and ceilings.
⦁ Mark the wall accurately for level and alignment. Check the surface using a straight edge, line & level, or aluminium square tube. Identify the highest spots and ensure a minimum plaster thickness of 5 mm to control overall thickness.
⦁ The surface should be properly wetted at least 10 minutes before application. This helps displace trapped air and allows the gypsum plaster to achieve strong adhesion and bonding with the background.
⦁ Always add Kaboon ready mixed gypsum plaster to water, not water to the powder. Mix thoroughly to obtain a smooth and workable consistency.
⦁ Apply the prepared mix to the wall by following the marked level strips, which act as reference guidelines for uniform application.
⦁ Best results are achieved by applying a tight coat with firm pressure using a trowel, ensuring better bonding and a smooth finish.
⦁ Plaster the entire surface evenly in line and level. Once the plaster begins to set, finish it with a final trowel stroke.
⦁ After plastering the complete wall area, lightly apply water over the surface. The final finishing is done using a slurry coat for a smooth and refined appearance.
