Reason for Introducing Grip Stone
Looking at the current scenario of the construction industry, the use of marble, granite, and tiles is increasing rapidly. However, during installation, achieving proper grip on unpolished or smooth surfaces remains a challenge. Traditional roughening methods are inconsistent and often lead to de-bonding of marble, granite, tiles, and stone, resulting in damage to costly materials.
Adhesion of marble, granite, tiles, and stone on smooth or semi-rough surfaces is often uncertain. Grip Stone is developed as a dedicated stone grip solution to roughen unpolished surfaces and improve bonding, helping reduce de-bonding issues and ensuring reliable surface adhesion before fixing.

Looking at the current scenario of the construction industry, in the market, the use of Marble, Granite, etc is growing very fast, but while fitting this, for better grip we need to rough the unpolished surface. Today everyone is trying different ways to rough the unpolished surface, sometimes it is successful, and sometimes it fails, resulting in the de-bonding of Marble, Granite, etc, and damage of costly material. Adhesion of Marbles, Granite, Tiles, and stone, to smooth or even rough surfaces is always doubtful. Till today there is no specific product that can be used for roughening the unpolished surface and improving bonding. To address changing trends and issues of de-bonding, we have introduced innovative specially formulated products for roughening and improved bonding of the unpolished surface.

a) Mechanical bond is imparted by suspended fine aggregates screened on a 500-micron sieve
b) Chemical bond is imparted through the dry polymeric film formed after application
Coverage
- Approximate coverage is 5 sq. m per kg (single coat).
- Coverage depends upon the background surface condition and its suction properties.
Application Procedure
- Clean the surface thoroughly using high-pressure water jets or soap washing.
- Open the original packing and stir the material properly.
- Do not dilute with water or solvent.
- Do not add any admixture.
- Apply Grip Stone using a paint roller or brush, pressing firmly and spreading a thin, even coat.
- Apply evenly on the cleaned surface and remove excess material from edges.
- A thin, continuous, unbroken film is recommended.
- Allow approximately 24 hours for drying.
- Do not disturb or pull the film after drying.
- After drying, tiles or stone can be fixed using cement or a suitable adhesive.
